Amazon is not a Nokia distributor like Dell so who knows maybe I see it before Amazon wakes up and ships.

I know its feb cos thats what it says on my receipt!

First post here from non-techie thrifty watcher.

So at Dell it will be about $550-00 after tax?

I suspect Amazon will go back down to $449 too but without the tax but ambiguous shipping dates.

i chat with one of the DELL rep at the site and she said 45days estimate. Nokia sucks!! They have the devices but chose to sell it at retail price @NokiaUSA. The retailers ended up not getting enough units.

This is why Nokia are losing stock...they suck at management...suck at consumer satisfaction..suck at advertisement. No wonder they're not able to compete with phones like iPhone and Android...they're not even able to meet the demand of the consumers. So forget about competing with other smartphones out there because if you can't even generate enough demand and if you're losing confidence and trustworthiness of the consumers..that is a BIG NO in terms of profits!!

If you have any friends or family that work for Dell, they can give you one of their 10% off discounts. I was able to get mine shipped (in Tennessee) for $491 not including the $50 rebate, so a net of $441 shipped to my door.

Hmm, Dell shows the $449 after rebate on their sale page, but when I add to my cart, it does not take off the $100 instant rebate, shows as $599?

This from my chat:

11:03:50 AM John Hi, I have some questions about the Nokia N900 on sale on your site.
11:04:31 AM John I see it is in pre-order status. If I order it today when can I expectt it to ship?
11:05:09 AM E&A_Adrian estimated delivery date is on or before 02/09/2010
11:07:18 AM E&A_Adrian are we still connected?
11:07:40 AM John I understand some other customers ordered it on 11/19 and it had that estimated shipping date but they recieved shipping notification on 11/24. Is there a way to tell if there are any pre-order units still available and what is the process of prioritizing shipments?
11:09:49 AM E&A_Adrian ok the only info I have is the lead time is 45 days, its temporarily out of stock and its a first come first serve basis
11:10:48 AM John ok. Another question is I have a $20 coupon that I want to apply to the order but when I enter it it removes the -$100 discount. Is there a way to apply my coupon without losing the discount?
11:11:09 AM E&A_Adrian can you give me the coupon code?
11:13:29 AM John sure, it is BQ?GSVLT3DNGVC
11:13:34 AM E&A_Adrian are we still connected?
11:14:09 AM John yes
11:14:30 AM John did you get the coupon code?
11:15:14 AM E&A_Adrian ok thank you for waiting the offer is not combinable with all other offers so the discount was applied to the original price
11:16:35 AM John alright. Finally, I have a family member working for Dell. Can he order it on my behalf and get the 10% employee discount?
11:17:49 AM E&A_Adrian he can check if its possible by calling EPP at 1-800-695-8133 Extension 724-6220
11:18:34 AM E&A_Adrian that is for the Employee Purchase Program Department
11:19:04 AM John ok thanks

Anyone have any coupons that work WITH the -$100 discount?
