Hey guys,

Since I moved from my N900 to my N9 I am missing one important app for me.
Google Voice
Since I do a lot of calling to the States, I have a Google Voice account, that calls to my SIP number.

But this brilliant piece of software is missing on the N9.
Does anyone know anything about it? Can we implement it like in the N900 directly into the account settings?

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks!

What? There is Google account which supports Talk. There is calling option too for it but I don't know how well it works.

the built in google talk has a problem where by when it goes offline, it wont come back online automatically and will instead show a incorrect password error. u then have u manually set it to go online

Oh shoot, i meant Google Voice not gtalk.

I want to be able to send/receive text messages and have the callback function through Google Talk.
On my N900 there was a plugin for the contacts and messages (worked exactly like Skype) and I wish to have the same functionality on the N9.

The gtalk function works quite good atm.

I've got a free app on the Ovi Store: "qgvdial"
It's not much to look at, but it does the job.

Thanks so much!
It really looks promising, although I cannot log in (and I know there is no typo in the credentials...)

You need to live in the U.S. to be able to login and use this app. It says so in the description (it is just a matter of reading).

I live in the U.S. but never managed to make it work neither on my old N900 nor on my new N9. On the N900 I was using the "Google Voice plug-in for Conversations and Calls". And that is what we need for the N9

For me living outside the Us Google Voice always worked on my N900 and still works on my desktop. So this shouldn't be the problem ...
Let's see what uvatbc hat to say to my log file ...

What' up with qgvdial? Can't find it in the OVI-Store anymore. (not that it ever worked for me though)
