blue_led, you are able to reproduce MohammadAG's results? joerg_rw? sarahn? Anybody else?

Let's hope it's just me, my device or stick and that someone else can reproduce it.
Try the command 'lsusb' and see if it is listed. I found that my usb stick was detected but no /dev entry was created.

If vbus and Id pin are applied at the same time, I believe vbus is prioritized. If you plug in id then power, I believe there is not another interrupt.

I have a possible explanation why it fails: my USB stick requests 200mA
which is the limit of the N900. I'll try again with another less power-hungry device.

EDIT: again, no success with a 100mA SD card reader :-(
