The N900 is on NokiaUSA since yesterday for preorder with a free BT-703 headset for $649, and it does NOT have AT&T 3G band (1900 MHz), so I highly doubt that site.

I just read a report that bluetooth headset sales are down and most people that have them rarely use them. I sure don't want that freaky looking thing. I'll be glad to wait a while and let the cheapest internet deal pop up for the N900.

Sorry Guys,
People here in Europe often forget both the customs fee and VAT (sales tax) most countries here in EU have +20% sales tax as well as 4-5% customs fee + shipping, add approx 30%, then that price will not be as cool....

Not the usual rip-off (for us europeans) on nokia part this time, but let's see how the price will evolve (I guess that in a short time you'll find it for less than $400, while the european price will stay at 600-650€, depending on country and local VAT rate).

you are correct, Nokia do not have the same brand recognition in USA and by that will be overshadowed by Apple Marketing
$ 400.- if the N900 will not be a hot seller, then sure THAT will be THE best buy..and it is not by anyway impossible.

would it be possible for a european to buy one in USA and use it in Europe? are the frequencies completely different?
i imagine the rest would be like the UK version (keyb.layout..)?
possible to get it shipped to here without additional taxes?
slowly looking for the best price I can find, so far it's the UK version that costs ~570 €.. ^^

Nokia could e.g throw in a free life time navigation to compensate the ugly price difference...
N900 as day to day phone
N770 for childrens music
