Because it apparently is clearly stated in the rules for the "offline" -discussion forum that religion is a forbidden topic that normal, consenting adults just can't handle online. Rules are rules.

Pity the thread was interesting and thought the discussion was fine.

Oh well I live in a "nanny state" anyway here in the UK.

It could have been worse it could have been "Free Speech is the evil lovechild of Satan"
or
"Why iPhone will have all-conquering rule over the Universe".
or
"Ban George Orwell's - 1984 - A book that is far too liberal for it's own good"
