The reason why I created this application was that there was no application which would display the wlan network interface information on the mobile handset and which I could use to locate the "sweet spot" for the current wlan.

Looks promising. I've been waiting for an app like this for ages. Does it show a list of wi-fi networks in the vicinity and their lock/unlock status?

It is not a wlan scanner application. It is a "sweet spot" finder for the currently connected wlan.

Scanner application is work in progress by some other developer as well.. ..and I have been looking into it as well. So I think that we might get something soon.
