Hi,

I'am a very new and happy owner of a N900. Sorry about my bad English...

I have read much stuff about flashing the phone to get the original and clean phone version. I'm well prepared now...

On skeiron.org (tablets-dev...) is the latest Maemo 5 Version PR 1.3 version 20.2010.36-2. But my phone shows version 21.2011.38-1.

Well, I don't know if I should flash my phone now, because I do not find a source to download the 21.2011.38-1 version.

The phone runs very fine. Maybe I can run it now without flashing. But if I want to, which version should I get to flash and where can I get the 21.2011.38-1 version?

Thanks!

Florian

Hi, and welcome!

21.2011.38-1 was an OTA (over-the-air) update. There is no flashsable firmware image for that version. You can always falsh PR1.3 and then update from there.

Hi,

thank you very much!

And the OTA can I get about the build-in "app-manager"?

If you get Nokia to reactivate their Maemo line and servers: yes.
Else: no.

But that little update was just about a few certs.
If you go the CSSU way (which I strongly advise) then you will automatically receive the latest update.

Is there a good "start point" for me as a Newbie to look on the "CSSU-Way?"
