This could be done with the command button feature, guess I'll have to put a rush on it.

If you're taking requests, I'd like to have mutliple user-configurable buttons. It'd be great to have my App Manager, Control Panel, Connection Manager, xterm and multiple other things operable through ASUI (also clean up my app list).

Also, rather than post to yet another thread, I think your matchbox-swipe hack has disabled screen blanking on my tablet. I'll download the ASUI debug and send you the otput this weekend, if that's okay.

Okay, so everyone really wants command buttons.

No, it was not matchbox, it was ASUI and alarmd.

Sorry to repeat the bug, I must have missed that.

Thanks!

I can pretty much confirm that ASUI and alarmd also gives issues to the fantastic Audio lock feature as well since this keeps happening after restarting alarmd.

I'm really busy with work and then need to finish the matchbox hack and add command buttons to ASUI and then write the file manager. Anyone one bored enough to add some logging to alarmd source so those with problems could run it and maybe we could figure out what ASUI needs to do to fix this problem?

It already comes with that, just un-comment-out

Code:
#CFLAGS += -DDEBUG_FUNC
in the Makefile and rebuild.

Does that create a log file or would those with the problem need syslogd?

It logs to stderr, I guess one would need to stop alarmd via asui or similar and start a fresh, non-daemon instance on a terminal or ssh session.

Problem is that the bug usually occurs during boot.
