I want to download a bunch of google maps to use with Maemo Mapper and no GPS - just static maps. I know this has been covered before, but can someone point me to instructions for getting Google maps, either directly downloaded to the N800 or through my PC

Thanks and sorry for what must be a repeat question!

You can find the details elsewhere (even in the Help file, accessible from the menu), but in a nutshell, first set up your Google Maps repository in the "Manage Repositories" dialog (try the "Download..." button in that dialog), then use the "Manage Maps" dialog to download maps within a certain lat/lon-based rectangle of Earth (you can use Google Earth to find the exact coordinates you want).
