Wait, you're ditching the whole platform/community because your device died?

@peterleinchen. When I purchased it I sent it to my friend in Lausanne (Swiss) and he sent me to Israel. It was really expensive - €333.87 + 175 Swiss frank
Someone told on TJC that warranty for Europe is 2 years, that mean it will be end at December this year...

@HtheB, how exactly, what the cost ?

@coderus, what the site ? And you sure they can send to Israel ?

Tracking + Registered (Insured to €500): €25,95
Tracking only (No Insurance): €24,30
No tracking at all (No Insurance): €18
Extra Insured (Insured to €5500): €31,80

I recommend the Tracking + Registered mail. Because IF the mail gets lost, you can get €500

I don't know about you sending it to me (the Netherlands) though, you'll have to check that out on your local post office.

This way will be still much cheaper to buy a new or second hand Jolla. (I'm pretty sure you'll get a new one from the warranty, at least if you didn't drop it or have water damage)

I can make €10-15 donation, if about 20 people do the same then we can buy you a new Jolla. Really don't want to see your leaving.

Thanks for this! Lets see what Jolla repair can do. He might get a new phone from them for free, since the phone is still under warranty.
The donation might cover the shipping costs

I just send him a PM with the instructions

This seems to be a logistic problem first.

But thanks to the kind offer and experience of HtheB you should be able to claim European warranty. I suppose HtheB knows by now how to prevent lithium ion battery devices being stuck in custom's.

"I was thinking it just another unexpected reboot, but no... phone is not restarted, no boot loop, nothing... "

Seems to me that your phone was never stable but that due to the above issue you continued to knock on wood and suffering instability until it finally died.
I have had my Jolla sent back about 3 times for all common known faults (yes I had them all: SIM holder, antenna-probably broken during repair, loudspeaker).
Only for the coating of the camera lens Jolla they refused to take any responsibility.

@Schturman, the idea of getting a Nexus 5 to put SFOS is not bad. I've totally switched from my Jolla to the N5. So screen is soooooooooo much better :-D
