when ever i tried to reboot nokia logo appear and goes for reboot again.
i today upgraded my kernel power and updated it from HAM. i have kernel power 49 now .but later i think i should go back to my KP48 i felt older ver. was smooth. so i tried to uninstall it from HAM (my noobness) but it gave me erorr and showed probles that "kernel power sttings" is the problem. so i uninstall sttings from HAM.later i tried to uninstall KP 49 from HAM but it said "unable to install" so i tried Wiki and i open xterminal and type

Code:
sudo gainroot
apt-get install --reinstall -y kernel kernel-flasher
so it siad something like "could not lock var other prosess is using" (i dont remember properly)

i than think i should reboot my device and than try this with xterminal but it does not boot anymore.when ever i tried to reboot nokia logo appear and goes for reboot again

here than i searched and tried to reflash kernel using my pc(xp 32 bit) i opened keyboard insert usb holding "U"key and type in flasher

Code:
flasher-3.5 -f --flash-only=kernel -R -F RX-51_2009SE_20.2010.36-2.004_PR_COMBINED_004_ARM.bin
here flasher says "unknow argument specified"

plz help me

try with -k instead of --flash-only=kernel
if that does not work you have to extract zImage from .bin file using flasher and flash it

@nicholes,

For future reference: I think it's written just about everywhere that you should NEVER uninstall kernel-power using HAM. There's an extra icon in the app list for "Deinstall Kernel-Power", or something to that effect.

Reason is when you just remove kernel-power something (e.g. the standard kernel) has to replace the kernel that has been removed. The app takes care of that (presumably). HAM does not.

i first tried that but did not work for me and gave me error"unable to uninstall"(i dont remeber properly)

well since now i have flashed it and backed it up with inbuilt "backup" application everything(including kernel v49) was fine and today i again wanted to remove my kernel so i did this in my xterminal(according to Wiki) and (i have done this with kernel v48 successfully)

Code:
~ $ sudo gainroot
Root shell enabled

BusyBox v1.10.2 (Debian 3:1.10.2.legal-1osso30+0m5) built-in shell (ash)
Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands.
