I have the latest garnet vm on my n800 with the latest os2008. Most apps appear to work fine in the vm. I downloaded the lastest googlemaps prc and when I try to install it, it installs fine. The problem is when I click on the install maps item it fails with a "failed to launch application (err=0x30060207)"

The googlemaps icon appears anyways. When I launch it though I just get a blank palm window.

Any ideas what might be wrong?

I have tried playing with the config for the memory settings, compatibility and display checkbox (whatever that does) and nothing seems to make a difference.

I think I read that Maemo Mapper could use Google maps. Might this be an alternative to using the GVM?

It does, I love that app. The POI download in meamo mappers does not appear to be working though. I used google maps on my blackberry and it had it uses also.
