This article is written by Mal-, main SailfishOS Porter for the FP2.

The repository, which is described here is the "official" testing repo.
More advanced users who want bleeding-edge stuff can use Mal-s Devel-Repos just from his kitchen. but i don't know, if Mal- really wants to put unstable Devel-Repos to the wider public audience.

i made own PDF-Manual, which include the devel-repo,
i can send it to everybody, who write me email to info(at)explit.net

But i don't want to post it somewhere without Mal-s permission.

fwiw, I just flashed alpha2 on my fp2 yesterday and upgraded to 2.0.5.6 using the testing repos as follows:

- upgrade from alpha2 to 2.0.4.14 via the instructions on the wiki page (using testing)
- upgrade from 2.0.4.14 to 2.0.5.6 via the instructions on the wiki page (using testing)

So far, things seem to work well.

By the way, when trying to go from alpha2 to to 2.0.5.6 directly, I got the same obexd config foo error as reported above.

Unfortunately, my time is super limited these days, so I could not test further nor can elaborate more on this, for now.
I also read somewhere that the devel repo should be used but do not recall enough details, right now, to provide any more helpful input.

Anyway, huge thanks to mal for providing such fantastic support for a community port.

I guess people here never answers a phone call on SFOS.

Atleast my FP2 SFOS I cant answer phone call since I get black screen of dead. Upgrade did not fix the issue.

Strting to give up on SFOS since I heard this alsois an issue on Jolla phone

Odd thing really. I have both original sbj-1 and Nexus5 port and neither have that problem.
Possibly you are referring to the (ages ago solved) problem that at one time caused some calls to be deferred?

Quick search and I came up with nothing. I think I know what you're talking about, but can you offer up a link?

Can confirm this, but only sometimes.
every 5 call or so.
this is a problem with a proximity sensor, the problem is known since a couple of month.

Fairphone calibrated the sensor since FP Open 16.08, but with the new modem the battery life is very bad.

so we need to wait, until Fairphone fix the Modem Firmware.

on the Jolla 1 this problem has never exist.

i'm on Devel, latest adaptation 0.0.1.109

I don't have this problem (I can always answer calls), but I sometimes get a weird thing when I end a call where the phone seems unresponsive for a while / there is a delay between pressing buttons to hang up and anything happening. Probably also related to the proximity sensor.
