Hello all!

I've received my N900 right now and want to update the software with this new firmware...

The problem is that it asks to connect to PC Suite, but I can't due I'm on Ubuntu Linux. Is there any workaround for this without need to reflash it?

Thanks!

Thank you man... After all, I've done the reflashing :- (

I've tried a VirtualBox setup with Windows and did the update using Nokia Updater but it failed in the middle... I had to reflash...

Unfortunately, the problem I was expecting to be solved (install maemo connectivity) wasn't.

Lets wait till the PR1.2 on thursday!

Best!

My Nokia N900 is showing 3.2010.02-8.203.1 as firmware update.
The size of this update is 92.7 MB.
I am using my WiFi to download but it takes hours but does not finish downloading the update.

I ran
Code:
df -h /
command from terminal it shows that I have the free space on roorfs is ~70 MB.

What shall I do? Do I need to perform any disk clean-up command?

1.2009.44.1.203.4

I updated to this version in the morning. It was 21.08 MB to download. It only took less than 5 minutes to download.

I restarted the phone after update and tried update from Application Manager and it shows 3.2010.002-8.203.1 as next available update.

Hmmm that seems to be an update tied to your carrier.

Which one 1.2009.44.1.203.4 or 3.2010.02-8.203.1.

What do you suggest I shall I do?

I bought my phone sim-free so why is the update tied to any network?

I am using T-Mobile UK sim
