First it has to be even widely available. At the pace the invites closed, I would suppose people in the development community even got access.

Also, there needs to be an API. I'd love to see it integrated into Maemo tools like Hermes, but also into the events wall in Harmattan

Its quite a simple interface, not as much going on all over the screen as on facebook. Whether thats down to its age or not Im not sure. Its easier to group privacy controls.

Having friends at Google is a definite benefit

I've moved two posts requesting Google+ invitations to their own thread, "Google+ invitation requests". Please use that thread for requesting invitations and leave this thread devoted to the discussion of possible Google+ applications. Thanks!

well, I know somebody at Google and they basically laugh at our dead platform, "and it ain't coming back because we're hiring the Meego people from Nokia"

That said, Google+ is already a bit sluggish on my netbook, I don't dare to try it on the n900

It's not slow on the n900. Used it for about 5-10 minutes and everything seemed fast enough.

That said, I've started on an app for this.

The API is available now.

http://developers.google.com/+/api/

Would love to see an app for this. The web interface renders OK but I often find that text entry doesn't work.
