The N900 has the potential to match the gaming experience of the iphone (to some extent) but we are yet to see anything develop
Nokia can't even get exisiting developers to create some good 3D games for us N900 users...
Good Footie Game - (i.e Real Football series)
Good Driving Game - ( i.e NFS or any decent driving simulator)
Good Action Game - (Brothers in Arms etc)

I think that the n900 can even outmatch the Iphone when it comes to gaming.Unfortunatelly looks like there are not going to be any high-end games for the n900.

Nokia are a business and have chosen a path of using the OSS community phenomenon to reduce their overheads specifically after sales support and development. Unlike Apple who do the opposite and make a killing from their Applications store.

The n900 has huge potential to be a gaming device.
However, judging from this thread anything is doomed to failure.
