i'm planning on re-flashing my n900 later on but i need help regarding flashing eMMC....
as i searching tru the wiki pages i stumble upon this pages...

http://wiki.maemo.org/NITDroid_FAQ#D...ernel-power.3F

ok i'm not planning to install NITDroid on my phone but i'm interesting at the bottom of the pages (custom eMMC)...i'm thinking on changing my installation space from 2Gb to 5GB so my question is...

1.can i use this custom eMMC on my phone??
2.is flashing is custom eMMC is the same as the original eMMC??
3.what other command i need to use before i start flashing or i just use the same command as flashing original eMMC??
4.other than this custom eMMC,it there another way to increase my installation space from 2GB to 5Gb??

First i would install backupmenu http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=63975 , then i would backup the settings and application to some external media.
Have your Linux-PC or a Linux-Live-CD ready to repartition the N900.
Next do a reboot of the N900 to backupmenu, switch read/write USB mode on and repartition the device to the needed layout after right after flashing. Then i would apply the backup.
Here is the wiki about repartitioning: http://wiki.maemo.org/Repartitioning..._compatible.29

@Michaaa62...

thanks for the info...i already got backupmenu install on my n900...
as i go tru the wiki pages you give to me i realize its the basic method to partition the eMMC...that is the best way to do it no doubt about it but what i'm hoping to figure out is the custom eMMC on the wiki pages that i have post before this....
is the custom eMMC already been partitions so i have 5Gb (rather than 2Gb) of opt space on my n900 by just flashing the custom eMMC or i have to partition it manually after flashing the custom eMMC using the wiki pages that you have suggest to me???
