Hi,

same issue on my N900 and on the one of a friend: since 1.3 it is no more possible to mount the device on a PC/Notebook, ... as an USB mass-storage-device when its power off - when its on it works perfect (same with WinXP and Arch-Linux) - anyone else?

Which means that, if you want access to your stuff with your n900 in a "bricked" state, you have to install a rescue-mode application like BackupMenu.

elastic:
it was classed a security bug (and got fixed in PR1.2) because unauthorised people could get access to the contents of the N900 just by turning it "off"... (= no password needed to access the contents.)

personally though, i would have preffered to be able to choose this miself, under "settings", as there was a noticable transfer speed increase when the N900 was turned off during file transfers.
