On a more serious note, if you're really wanting ADA on your N900 there is already a GNU compiler for it:

What is entailed in getting it to spit out ARM binaries (and if there are any ADA bindings for GTK/Qt) I don't know, but if you really want it, there it is.

Still, where is an armel deb of GNAT? Consider that currently gcc on Maemo is version 4.2.1.

Lacking other types of compilers isn't much of an issue, because those working in lower level languages are generally willing adapt to whatever there is.
Adaists, OTOH, are a bit spoiled, a reluctant to spend time working in a lesser language. Offering an Ada compiler would entice more developers to contribute.
