I got this after using the 1.0 version of contactLaunch. There is no way to delete the contact from the desktop in that version that I can tell and I'm not paying for the newer version to find out if it successfully does this.
I've managed to lose the contacts image so it is just the green icon now, but it still takes me to their contact record if clicked. I will try to manual steps in this thread and post back if they work for this scenario too.

This issue is not 'solved', in most cases it is not known which .desktp to delete !
