I have a little problem: in chat window, I can't open the special characters menu (the one you activate by pressing the blue arrow key and the "sym" key)

I can't update the qutim plugins and qutim protocols because there's some repositories problem (this problem comes with the release of the last update)
I tried every repositories alone one by one but that change nothing.
Is there a mode to force installing one precise version of the package?

Try to uninstall qutim and all depended packages and install again.
Also you may download qutim .deb file directly from repository and install manually.

Same error here, the package manager says
Unable to install 'qutIM'.
Installation file corrupted

I'm going to try to install the deb file...

kent_autistic, system wide keyboard is done using very different methods with qutim keyboard

bennypr0fane, this keyoard was ported from fastsms package. Source code available here: https://github.com/euroelessar/qutim...tackedchatform
kb_qwerty.cpp kb_qwerty.h kb_qwerty.ui files
This keyboard don't localizable and supports only ru and en locales.

Is it rather quick? system wide? FastSMS takes a few seconds to pop up, it's a lot of waiting...

bennypr0fane, it is not system wide keyboard. Just simple widget-based as you can see in source code. And no idea about show\hide speed.
