At the moment Sailfish seems to support only following media types:

Image - Jpeg
Music - MP3, pls (playlist)
Video - MPEG4 (H.263 + H.264)

Correct me if I missed something from the list.
Btw I was thinking of making a handbrake profile for Jolla.
Has anyone info / experience of phone built-in video codec's?
Jolla should document these to their specification page when they have the time

Ogg/Vorbis and Flac (up to32Bit/96kHz tested. Seems to strip down of course)

m4a (Apple Lossless) supported to my great surprise as the N9 could not... Flac also as stated by cy8aer. Album covers not supported, only for mp3.

AAC ringtones from other Nokia phones show on list, but doesn't play on my Jolla. Eh ...

You can figure support by checking which gstreamer plugins are installed and how they are configured. It would be good for community to make an additional multimedia repo with more options.

WAV audio also works. Cannot test video on N9 port as nothing displays.

I don't either have problems with m4a's. Not with Jolla and not with N9. Gladly
