Who knows, I'd take anything running GNU/LINUX over a ton of silly services any day.

It's for people who don't give a crap about having a fully capable Bash in your pocket and accept a closed OS. Pretty much your average consumer looking for services and tons of 'apps'.

Nothing.
I still remember all the Win-Bugs in all the other versions - even
Win7.
No need for that crap on a (smart)phone.

For the end user, I have no idea. I do not like an animated tiles desktop. Too cluttered, and at the same time too empty (you can have only a few applications visible at once, rather than tens of smaller icons).

From what I've heard it's a simple and easy to use OS, so I guess that would be the selling point. Then again so is iOS so the only actual selling point I can think of would be it not being android or iOS.

WP7 is a good system I do enjoy it.
Why?

I spent two (probably a lot more) hours teaching how to use "touchscreen" "next generation" device to a friend who can barely use WindowsXP.
Over time, she'll be proficient. I couldn't have done that with iOS or Android because the learning curve would've been too steep I think.

And remember this is one person. There is probably a thousand of these who eagerly want to get into these "futuristic gadgets" to each one of us. As long as they're buying, Microsoft will happily be selling.

It is a nice and easy to use OS. Not as nice on the eyes as android but lot faster and efficient. No hiccups like on android. Stabile as hell.
