Hey guys i just upgrade to the os2008 on my n770 and i seem to be having trouble finding the wireless networks in my area the os2007 and os2006 finds it fine but the os2008 doesnt has anyone else had this problem before? its like hit or miss when the networks are available but i know the signal should be there since my laptop is connected and its my own connection at my own house.

Thanks.

i just downloaded the 2008 7.1 hackers edition and i didnt have any problems connecting to my belkin wifi. i also had no problems using my 3g bluetooth phone. i am impressed with the latest hackers edition. it was as fast as the 2006 os i was using and was just as stable.

thanks to the team that have worked to keep the n770 running with the newest os.

you can install mplayer and watch your videos with it (install 2008-chinook package, remove and force install n770 verson). don't forget to patch your kernel with fanoush's latest one (tearsync support) for best experience.

May I ask if you guys flashed using flasher-3.0 on a linux machine? I have flashed thusly:

:/flasher-3.0 -F ./SU-18_2008HACKER_4.2007.50-6_PR_F5_MR0_ARM.bin -f

and it seemed okay until I found I didn't have osso-xterm. The application manager shows osso-xterm 0.14.mh3 installed but I don't find it under Extras.

In 2008 xterm is under utilities (or maybe settings, I forget) not extras .

Thanks for the info guys. Unfortunately it comes just hours after my screen went bad. It had been a two day troubleshooting marathon trying to get a CDMA modem recognized on a power injector USB to cellphone. I bought the N770 used & it's now likely toast. I will rip it apart and see if the screen is available though it could be something else.
