Though I have installed NITDroid on my eMMC.
Use the following commands if you have installed NITDroid on your eMMC (assuming you have downloaded the file on the root of your eMMC):
root
mount /home /and
cd /and
tar xvf /home/user/MyDocs/ofono047s_oril009-sms-fix.tar

that did not fix the sms sending issue!!
any other steps should be done?

Thanks... av installed the nitdroid 12 and gingerbread with its updates but I cant send txts or make calls... what do I do?

You should only install N12 UMay. Gingerbread is the older version.
Making calls does not work in any version currently, sending and receiving SMS however does.

how to make whatsapp work in nitdroid with gsm. it doesnt verify the number. says no internet connection. bt i have internet enabled. 2G

Both of Maemo and Nitroid are Linux based and open source OS
So where is the problem i don’t know?
What works with one should be work with the other it’s only a matter of coding
