The same thing happened to me. Is there anyway to fix this? Mines has all the outgoing messages first, then all the incoming.

I installed the .deb and transferred the database. When I try importing I get message

disk I/O error

Anyone have any suggestions on how to make this work?

Hi, I don't know if it is still needed. But the here published version was not satisfying me.
1. I had duplicate (or even triple) conversations with the same number and also single messages were missing. This was caused, because my N900 DB was holding different number formats. So I'm normalizing the phone numbers before I create the groups. (but only for german phone numbers)
2. The messages in the conversations were not correct sorted. I changed this by adding a sort to the select query.

Now its working for me If someone is interested in the .deb post here.

sure ... please find the attached files. main.txt must be renamed
Probably you should create a branch or something because of the German number format ... maybe not everybody is interested in this feature

BTW ... imported 5085 (around 5 Min.) messages from 2 1/2 years of n900 usage ... I will miss it :-(

File Type: deb n900-comhist-import_0.2-1_armel.deb (21.2 KB, 86 views)
File Type: txt main.txt (6.4 KB, 117 views)

Is this project still alive?

After a fast search through the forums, it seems to be the only viable way to do the importing.
