We have been clear saying that portrait mode for the whole UI will come in Harmattan: http://maemo.org/community/brainstor...ut_the_ui-002/
If someone from inside can confirm this then I am sure people will be patiently wait for it and will stop demanding portrait support for Maemo 5.

I fail to see how a half implemented functional change can be called an easter egg.
That said perhaps I'll use that approach on the software systems I deliver in future. Turn every failed delivery into an 'unexpected bonus' for the users.
(FTR I couldn't give too hoots about portrait mode browsing - I'm just saying).
