Also if you bought the device used, then reflash to PR1.3 instead of updating OTA. This will ensure that theres nothing left behind that can conflict.

Install a package called rootsh
Then start X Terminal and type the following in the terminal:
root
apt-get update
apt-get install kernel-power
And take note of any errors you might get.

@mrsellout yes,m getting the details section......their it is stated -
conflicting application packages - kernel-modules-maemo,kernel maemo
conflicting application packages - kernel-modules-maemo,kernel maemo
then after PR 1.3 was released I upgraded my firmware to PR1.3 via OTA.....
now while installing Enhanced Linux kernel for power users I get an error stating 'Conflicting Application packages'
pls tell ,me what is the problem....i didn't install Enhanced Linux kernel before....
