Just wanted to say many thanks to rinigus as installed Sailfish OS 3.3.0.16 to XZ2 Compact H8324 Dual Sim today for first time and no problem with USB tether to Mac OSX Catalina 10.15.4. As this device had been in storage for a while had to update to 52.0.A.11.32 being last available Pie update before unlocking bootloader.

Unlocked bootloader via Mac and for once there was no output
in terminal similar to:
HTML Code:
OKAY [ 1.716s]
finished. total time: 1.720s
however upon removing USB C from device it rebooted into normal device unlocked screen and all well to proceed:

Host of sensors just got supported on Sony Xperia Tama devices. All you have to do, is to run

zypper ref
zypper up

as root. I am not going to make separate images with it, just use OTA as described above.

Added sensors are:

- fixed compass using geo rotation vector provided by Android layer
- pressure
- step counter
- pickup gesture

See https://github.com/sailfishos-sony-tama/main#tips on how to enable/use step counter and pickup gesture.

I just testing my XZ2c under Android and:

"Pickup gesture switches on the screen when you pickup the phone and allows you to avoid pressing a power button. It may require relatively faster movement, try with the different movement patterns if it does not work."

It's similar under Android. Usually, faster movement is required.
I think it's not an additional sensor but this function uses accelerometer and proximity sensor. So if you cover proximity sensor or it's dirty then this function has problems with working.

With the latest release: is it just me or is the haptic feedback weaker now? Not that I have changed anything regarding it as far as I can tell...

@rinigus, I reacted the same way, but discarded my impression as local variance. But if you also feel it ...

@pagis, I am on xz3 too. Did you test terminal keyboard?
My device is unfortunately at home while I am on my first travel since 6 weeks to visit my first grandchild (now 3 weeks old). So I cannot give better test support until tomorrow evening.

same as before i guess, the terminal keyboard in general is bad, the curved edges of the screen and the zcreen protector i have makes it even worse. toeTerm app has a lot better keyboard.

Under initiative and drive of @piggz, we managed to add fingerprint support for community devices.

For Sony Tama, instructions are at https://github.com/sailfishos-sony-t...rprint-support .

For brave ones, try to reproduce issue https://github.com/piggz/sailfish-fp...nity/issues/10

I cannot add a fingerprint on XZ3,
fingerprint app status shows:

Code:
Connection: Disconnected
State:Unknown:DBus interface invalid
