After making them and selling them to 770 users I realized that it is not an end-user construction project. This is why I made them available in 8GB sizes for anyone who wanted to buy them. Even if one wanted to make one, the parts would have to be purchased from some where and price of the parts would be a factor.

I am making a Kernel flashing guide for newbie’s available so anyone can make their 770 support SDHC cards.
This is what I have been getting email about from the people who have not purchased one but want to.

So far the people who have purchase one are satisfied with the card.

Also it is too easy to destroy the memory card so this is another reason I do not sell the kit anymore.
There are also small size differences between different cards and even from the same manufacturer. This makes it hard to make a one size to fit all converter board.

My goal was to make 8GB a easy reality for the n770 for anyone who wanted it and was willing to learn to flash the SDHC kernel. I learned to do it and judging from the feedback users is happy with the current solution.

Also for those who do not know this already this solutions is for people who already have a Nokia 770. I have had a few people saying why would they buy a 770 and a 8GB card. No this do not make sense Just purchase a N800 if this is the case.

The 8GB cards are sold here for now http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZcgraves256 I will make them available other ways soon. If there are none listed just email me at chester@optonline.net and I will make them available right away.

Also Thanks to those who have already purchased them.

I have received many requests for the SDHC flashing for dummies

For those new users like me who sent email or posted that they needed a simplified but detailed SDHC flasher instructions here you go.

Please update me with any mistakes. I used it on OS2007HE and OS2006

Hi,
I've been following this thread with interest. I have a 770 which is sadly neglected, as my n800 gets all the attention. I am just wondering about the logistics of buying from USA.

Thank you for following this thread, In What country are you located?
The shipping cost for priority mail to the UK is $11.00 US which is about 6 days for delivery to that country. It should be similar to other countries. I have sent many to the UK. I do not have any other way to sell them in other countries yet.

I also use my N800 a lot but now the 770 is also very useful with 8GB.

For those who asked the 8GB RS-MMC size custom card can be purchased from this site. http://www.remotefactory.com/n770memory.html with a credit card or Paypal

I also have people who say they sre waiting for a 16GB size. I do not have a 16GB size and it will be very expensive when the 16GB MicroSD card become available by Sandisk or others. I am also not sure if they will work.

Still, such kit mentioned in previous posts with card already fitted might save you some effort.
Finally i got my adapter today. Now i am a little bit confused. How do i cut the USB part?
It doesn't look easy as i first thought
Anybody a hint how cut it?
