Thank you, but I have problems.
I downloaded a given file and put:
home\user\.purple\plugins\pidgin-n800-led-plugin.so

It did not work, so I searched for other folders pindgin *. so files, I placed the plugin also:
usr\lib\pidgin\pidgin-n800-led-plugin.so
usr\lib\purple-2\pidgin-n800-led-plugin.so

But still not working...
I have pidgin version 2.6.6
You can do something?

Sorry for my bad english.

use pidgin-libnotify from extras-devel

you can just recompile it yourself (using scratchbox or madde). however in my case, it frequently crashes my pidgin (dunno whether t is initially or it's caused by my slight modification to the code )
so better just use pidgin-libnotify instead

Could you explain it step by step?
My knowledge of linux is unfortunately very poor, and the last thing on the N800, so who needs the truth.

Please.

no problem
first you need to enable extras-devel. see http://wiki.maemo.org/Extras-devel#H...e_Extras-devel on how to do that
next run app. manager, find pidgin-libnotify and that's it, all done in nice gui without even have to fire up xterm
