Just wondering if there are standards in relation to design and implementation of desktop widgets. It's one of the things that drives me mad in this OS is that so many widgets are of different dimensions making it difficult to place properly on screen. You have Facebook widgets that are massive, Digg widgets that are unreadable small and so on.

If there are not recommendations, can some be drafted?

I remember with my windows mobile device it was nice to have many items listed in a standard size and layout that looked good, but most of all was clear and easy to read.

I can't say I am a fan of the small icons currently used as they remind me too much of a competitor that I am not too much of a fan of but they are easy snap into a grid and can be organised easily and neatly.

I hope I am making myself clear as sometimes I cannot explain things that well.
