Hi!
I was trying to get PokerTH fixed like Wilson Tang did, but I am a noop
with qtdesigner.
So I made a very dirty fix to make it playable. I embedded the mainwindow
into a scrollbox. Now you've got scrollbars to move over the whole table.
Maybe someone makes a better implementation. It will upload it to
extras-devel.

I don't understand clearly what are you trying to achieve. Is not possible to upgrade the existing PokerTH in the repos to the new upstream version? Have you contacted the maintainer or asked to be the new maintainer of the package?

Anyway I would appreciate any effort regarding the maintenance of this package, and specially optifying the dependencies (I think some Boost libraries are not optified yet).

I tried to contact the maintainer with no success. 0.8.1 is the new upstream
version.
All I wanna do is to play the new versions with online ranking on my N900,
and publish my work to all other, nothing else.
However my upload of gsasl to extras-devel failed, because of the i386 target.

Without this dependency an upload of my pokerth package to the repos is
not possible. So I uploaded libgsasl and pokerth to rapidshare:

I'm not sure about the process but you can request to be the maintainer (that would be sweet).
I'd try to test your package as soon as get out of work.

Thanks for your efforts.

I don't want to request to be the maintainer, because the solution I used is
not very fine. When there are any problems with the maintainer field, I will delete
the package from RS and use the package for myself.
As I said, I tried to contact the maintainer in different ways, with no answer at
all.

Could you please do a proper port before uploading anything? I'm porting as fast as I can which isn't very fast since I'm in this stage in life where deadlines are all caving in. Indeed, it's my senior year of high school and college applications and the IB programme(TOK, extended essay, classes etc.. kudos to those who went through this in their own educational career) is upon me. So, give me some time/figure out how to fix the ui files/source and do a proper port yourself. I think if you look at the source code changes I made you can figure out pretty much how much modification is necessary.

I'll try to post up an upgraded version as soon as possible. Boost seems to be in testing so that's good. So, hopes for an extras release are high.

I did not uploaded anything successfully to the repos. However you're right.
I will delete the files from RS. One tip: You need a recent version of gsasl.
Without that, an internet game is impossible.
Sorry for by-passing you, but I wanted to build a simple workaround and
share it with other people.

Is there any word on progress?
I'm dying to play online,as it seems that the 0.7 version of pokerth keeps giving me a network error.

If i had the skills i would do it but unfortunately i don't have experience with programming.

But since it is a debian version of pokerth 0.8 is there not another way to download it and install it on my N900,another way to make that version work?
