Hi,

Here are the symptoms:
  • I can't open any web page under default web browser when I'm on my home wifi (few days ago I could)
  • I can still open under fennec on the same wifi
  • I can ping whatever I like on the same wifi
  • I can open any page on 3G connection or different wifi under default web browser

It's actually pretty annoying. I tried rebooting, clearing private data under settings, deleting home wifi connection and adding it again. No success.

It's actually pretty annoying. Any clues, how can I solve such an issue?

Did you try to reboot?
First the router
and/or the N9?

Yes I had rebooting several times both, router and phone before writing this topic.
I've just repeated that. No success.

Like I said before. I'm able to connect with any app except default browser.
I'm also able to connect with default browser except when I'm on home wifi.

Hmm, strange.
With a PC I could think of some possibilities, but not in conjunction with a N9/00.
Did you do/install/modify anything the last days?

One thing I may think of is to delete the user preferences directory of grob (the N9 browser). Cannot recall location right now (possibly /home/user/.grob ?)...

The only thing I recall was disabling voice mail notifications. But I think at that time it wasn't connecting anyway. Another major change is I switched to other mobile provider so changed sim card as well (and saved new gsm network connection received via operator message). How could that possibly affect wifi, no clue.

In the matter of fact I already had deleted .grob directory before 1st post here. It was a bit of puzzle to find proper directory as I didn't know the process name. But after killing few processes I found the proper one and that lead me to, as you stated, /home/user/.grob
Unfortunately that didn't helped too.

Last thing I tried yesterday was reinstalling (remove, then install) grob package with apt-get. No success though. The only side effect is I've got two Web icons on desktop now (when removing browser.desktop from /usr/share/applications both disappearing, and both getting back when recovering the file o_O)

To add some spice, a I see now that facebook app is affected by this connectivity issue as well. On the other hand for example fennec and email working just fine.

Is there any way of debugging grob or maybe a log file?

Hmm, hmmmm, getting stranger and stranger.

For log files:
there is for sure additional logging to be enabled for mail (fenix), have a look here and see if there is also grob included in those configs.
Good luck!

Thanks for replying

I finally managed to get it working.
Solution is even stranger than issue itself. I renamed SSID of my home WiFi.
Then new connection on the phone magically started working.

Any ideas how to get rid off duplicated 'Web' icon? o_O
