Hello all OC heads, please post your maximum stable overclock that your N900 was able to handle, and what voltage it needed to get to that speed (ideal, starving, lv, ulv and so on), just wanted to see the percentage of good Cortex-A8 samples, thanks all

Mine anyway was 1150Mhz stable with starving voltage, all running well, but my 24/7 is 125 - 900mhz starving

Never got starving worked it always freezes , now running lv 250-900 Mhz 24/7 so far so good
didnt go to 1000mhz since many people report there is no real performance gain between 900-1000

Running fine here at 1150... but now, summer is arriving! 250-850 is nice for me, 950 at some points.
Some little help: until now, I always can set 600mhz with cpufreq widget, but now, if I select 600, it is ignored and last speed maintained (lower speed I can activate is 700 mhz... someone has this "issue"?

Hi!
I use 1.15GHz clock almost all the time... because of MyPaint.
But when I use Net and GPS or watching videos...
I switch clock usually to 600Mhz..

So far MyPaint works great with 1.15GHz clock.

And with MyPaint there is noticeable performance gain,
between 900MHz and 1000MHz and it is quite a lot actually..
and even more with 1150MHz. clock.

Drawing and painting with MyPaint pencils brushes
is liquid smooth experience... with 1.15GHz clock.

How do u keep it at a certain clock without doing it through the terminal every time you reboot?

You must edit the kernel according to the limits you want to use.
Let's say you want to stay on 250-805 limits, using the LV kernel:
sudo kernel-config load lv
sudo kernel-config limits 250 805
sudo kernel-config save lv8
sudo kernel-config load lv8
sudo kernel-config default lv8
This way, even after reboot, you'll stay in 250-805
Hope it helped
