I just walked in a Nokia Care store to give an E7 with faulty usb for service and when I asked about some N9 accessories the rep there told me to give him my N9. I didn't have it with me but he said there's a recall for replacement of the earpiece and advised me to take the N9 to him.

Just a heads up.

I have trouble with my N9 earpiece volume since months - it is tooo low. Have not started any action, but this sounds interesting. Anyway I hope I will be getting my Jolla for Christmas, so there might be no need to service N9.

I laughed

But yes, have try find more info on this. Both of my N9 have always suffered from low voice. At least to my liking. But couldn't find anything about this from Nokias website

Be careful! I lost my E7 and got Lumia 900 back

But also I have got two times new N9, first time the microphone was dead and second time motherboard was faulty.

This is a 'feature' of the N9. Nokia limited the volume deliberately claiming something that there were resonance problems.

There are hacks that get around this. Try googling alsamixer. Or get hold of N9 Quick Tweak

Yes, these were already known and old news. Thanks anyway.

This possible recall lifted some tiny hope that Nokia might willingly replace the earpiece speaker with something better was what I meant.
