The portrait lumia calculator is a basic calculator. It does equations one step at a time. e.g 2 + 3 = 5, 5 x 4 = 20.

The scientific (landscape) calculator reads it as 2 + (3 * 4) = 14.

It works out the same with the windows calculator and normal calculators. Try it for yourself, it's not just a flaw of the lumia 800.

At-least it goes to landscape and does the scientific calculation, on N9 you hold portrait or landscape or hexagonal you still get 20 sigh!!!!

On SciCalc you only get 14 though...

Inconsistent behavior, violating the Vista UX Guidelines (do they still follow these for W7, with the new ribbon and all?). Bad Microsoft.

Confirmed: same situation with the Windows (7, Vista, XP) calculator.
