Jolla-settings-torch is a small plugin for Jolla-settings in order to enable the torch. It's based on work by Christopher Lamb, Artem Marchenko and Mohammed Hassan on Sailfish dev ML.

This plugin provides a switch to turn on the flashlight directly. The switch can even be favorited, to be accessed easily. Of course, this plugin have synergies with patchmanager, especially the control center modes, so that you can control the flashlight directly from control centers.

You can grab this plugin on OpenRepos or OBS
  • jolla-settings-torch 0.1.0: OpenRepos
  • jolla-settings-torch 0.1.0: OBS

I'm using github to host code.

Why not putting this thread in the Patchmanager tread ? and synchronized all patches available?

Because it's not a patch, but just a simple plugin. It works just like any other module from Jolla settings.

Cant it be like the other switches, i.e. wifi, plane... that is, to have its own dot on top to turn on and off?
thanks for the plugin!

Long press the switch (inside the page), and add it as a favorite.

Thanks sfiet. The best would have been to be able to light on light off just be clicking on the shortcut as wifi or data shortcut

What is the problem? It works exactly like you describe.

I think he/she means, that clicking the plugin would not open a new page, but would directly turn the torch on and off.

Yes, that's what I'm saying - that is exactly how it works!

Curious, mine does not work this way.

I created a shortcut from setting app. Now have the torch icon at my control center. I swipe for control center, click the torch icon. A new window opens and from there I click and the torch comes on. I can't find any setting or something that would change behavior so that torch would come on directly by clicking the torch shortcut
