At my university they have a TTSL/PAP Wireless network.

Is it possible to connect to it via the N900?

Here at the settings using Fedora 9

And again using Ubuntu

I tried today to connect, yet couldn't find the options for PAP.

Any help?

Thanks

I've been searching for a way as well. It doesn't seem that Maemo implemented PAP. There's an ongoing bug report: https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1635

It seems like someone (Janne Ylälehto) has released a package that provides PAP support.

Here is osso-wlan-security package compiled with PAP support. Since there is no
GUI support this is just for the people who are really ready to play with the
device and desparately want this to work.

To use TTLS/PAP, you need to create TTLS/Mschapv2 IAP first from the GUI and
save username and password. Then you need to manually change from the IAP
settings in Gconf setting called "PEAP_tunneled_eap_type" to 98. Something like
this is needed: gconftool-2 --set --type int
'/system/osso/connectivity/IAP/<your just made IAP id
here>/PEAP_tunneled_eap_type' '98'

This package hasn't seen the regular testing and verification yet so I'm
interested to hear if this works for you or not. Please comment.

Seems like the patch no longer works with the new firmware (2009.51-1) and it is unfortunate that Nokia didn't include this as a new feature.

Guess it won't be possible to use eduroam or other similar wi-fi connections.

Any new status to that?

I am reading that PAP support will be implemented sometime, but this is all a bit tooo complicated for my little brain?
Or does PAP already work and I am just to stupid?
