Another one here is different but its solution is worth a try, too.
So proceed with disassembly and dis-/connect battery and/or check proximity...
I am gonna go ahead and replace the proximity sensor will update you guys

Hi guys!

After my N9 died of full battery discharge, and refused to charge from the charger or PC, I tried the trick with flasher charging (up to 10%).
The first time I tried it it disconnected in the middle of sending the ape-algo image. I had no idea what it was and though I bricked the phone, as it wasn't recognized by the flasher afterwards. However, after I left it for some time (3-4 minutes) connected, it showed up.

I tried again and got that same Unable to get SU_PARAM_BATTERY_LEVEL message.

Disassembling the phone and disconnecting the battery for a couple of minutes worked, and with the message gone, the charge-via-flasher trick worked too!

Now, my question: Is there a way to force power off the N9 on 10% of the remaining charge, not 0%?
