Let's see if we can figure out where the radio antenna out is, so that we could do some hw modding and enable FMTX

EDIT: Look at the bottom of page 7 of the schematics...

I read the other day that fmtx is impossible on N9, well as far as inbuilt solution goes of course.
I think it was Konttori that said it, it was definitely a Nokia insider anyways.
Seem's pretty likely since it still hasn't been implemented as of yet.
I offered the schematics on another thread a while back and no one seemed to bite, although I imagine you spent a fair amount of time finding them right, so good stuff, I should have just uploaded them somewhere back in nov and saved you the effort.

Edit: It was Konttori

its buried fairly deep in there somewhere but the whole things worth a read regardless.

I imagine he was meaning it's impossible using just stock hardware.

Are you thinking of swapping/adding a component?

It's not ruled-out yet, I probed konttori further on his claim, he admitted he couldn't be sure.
javispedro has more of handle on it all....
He was able to rule-out the N950, but couldn't say the same for the N9 until he owns or is loaned one.
The hw's there unlike the N950, a dedicated antennae is the issue, not yet clear if it's insurmountable.
Read the entire epic FMRX/RDS thread at forum.meego.com for the full story.

AFAIK the biggest problem is the lack of a built-in antenna. My point was that there might be a way to attach one, and at the bottom of page 7, there's an out labelled "FMANT". I am no expert in applied electronics, and this is still a somewhat wild guess on my part, but if there is an out for an antenna, and we have a person who is better at reading and interpreting schematics, we might have a shot at this.
