edit the transitions file (but make a backup first!) and go to:
Code:
[home]
radius = 0
radius_more = 1
saturation = 0.97
brightness = 0.74
zoom = 0.95
zoom_applets = 0.80
Don't worry about the values not being the same as me - that's because I'm using my very own transitions.

Just edit your brightness value to 0.00, and you're done!
I dont like it completely dark, so you might try a 0.05 and see if you like it

EDIT: Damn! I somewhat bumped this topic... Didn't notice the date

Hey, can anyone help me?
So, back in time, when I had an Sony Ericsson Walkman, a really really cool feature that I remember was the skip music by long press the volume button, skyp forward -> long press volume up, skip back -> long press volume down, this would be very useful if I´m driving my car and listening music, can I do that?

remap long press volume, to do the skip song action?

thanks!

Packaged up and compressed with OptiPNG are the PNG files for my HTC-Style QBW Flipclock, as well as the RX-TX-IP widget, and YahooWeather widget.
Make sure you have WGET installed (apt-get install wget)

You'll need the QBW Flipclock widgets installed already, this is a modification to change the look by using different png files.

The flipclock can be installed from this this thread
http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php...=qbw+flipclock

The format to make this work is a little different to the original - all of the digits have a TRANSPARENT background, so another qbw is used as the flipclock for the digits. I have supplied single and wide flipclock backgrounds for your taste (credit Darkl4r for the original)

For this purpose, the separate filename sare flipclocktrans.png.* and flipclockblank.png/flipclockblankwide.png

The panel in the background is for the main flipclock code.

Extract all to /home/user/.queen_beecon_dir and edit the qbw files to match - they are named different so as not to overwrite the original flipclock files.
Enjoy!

EDIT: RX-TX-IP fixed Not sure why it happened.
Hi,

I'm unable to get my yahoo widget to run.. getting "no image found" msg.. I got wget installed and wifi connected.... wondering if I need to have ywtemp.png in /home/user/.queen_beecon_dir? any help would be helpful..

Thanks!

Did you change the icons in both places?
usr/share/icons/hicolor/48x48 and
usr/share/icons/hicolor/scalable

ie usr/share/icons/black-plastic-icons/48x48/hildon and
- usr/share/icons/black-plastic-icons/scalable/hildon

How do I change the fonts manually? I can't run the script :s

Attached is the perl script that creates the lock screen mod and puts the image in the right theme folder. You will need to have ImageMagick command line tools installed and modify the perl script a bit to match your needs (background image to use, theme paths etc) but I'm sure you clever ones will figure it out Also you need to remove the 'switch to unlock' text and the lock slider graphics. It uses Helvetica Neue fonts so you will have to track them down as well if you want the exact same style.

Use Alarmed app to automatically run the script daily at midnight to get the right date shown.

Change the extension of the attached lockScreenCal.txt to .pl.

Make the perl script executable ('chmod a+x lockScreenCal.pl') or execute it with 'perl lockScreenCal.pl'.

just put the 4 font files:
nosnb.ttf
nosnr.ttf
nosns.ttf
nscnr.ttf

into:
usr/share/fonts/nokia

reboot phone and reapply any widgets back to the homescreen if they are missing

the 4 font files apply to different parts of the phone,
you could have 4 different fonts running at once,
on different parts of the phone if you wanted

here ive just included 4 copies of the same font 'thabita'
and renamed them to the above names

to apply a different font you must reapply the nokia original font first, (there included here) and reboot phone,
then apply your font files and reboot
Windows 7 (and VIsta I think) has a great looking font Segoe UI. Excellently designed for screen.
