So Canola-tuning now supports album art from ID3 tags? If so, how come album covers won't run while in offline mode?

Also, the volume still does not stick between tracks. When listening to an album, if I use the slider to lower the volume, as soon as it moves to the next track, it'll be full volume until I touch the slider again.

Jhoff : good question, :/ but I think you can set how you want to run it with arguments ( and ask to do only id3 search ) if you run it normally it does the full job :

1) id3
2) album on folder
3) internet

The volume is a NASTY bug, we are trying to fix it, but what happens :
you have running on your device the OMS (osso media server) and a OSSO media player! we (CAnola) talk to osso media server) and ask it to keep the volume in the same level, the thing is that THEN from out of nowhere the default media player (even not actually running) goes there and sets up to it's volume.. thus creating this effect.

We are going to report the rror, ask to be fixed, but for now what I can say is try to open the default media player set something like your favotire volume and use it as bases.

If you look in the Application Manager Log (available through the menus) it is usually more informative. I have seen this error when a signed package is installed and the update is either unsigned or signed using a different key. I didn't encounter this with the Canola2beta3 update so your problem might be different.

I uninstalled the previous version I had installed and then installed the update and it worked perfectly.

With Marcelo's help, I was able to get Canola 2 installed on my 770 Gregale. A little sluggish but no problems,,,except one. Some of my images do not show up as thumbnails. It's as if Canola just doesn't find them at all. They are normal sized jpeg images and are in the same folder as some images that do display. I have no idea what's wrong.
Help please.

Thanks for all the work you've done on this awsome program!

Canola2 beta3 won't start on my N800 with OS2007. I get the following messages on the console:
Code:
$ canola

I already tried complete deinstall and reboot with power disconnected. Beta2 worked fine (after initial troubles with remnants of an already deinstalled edje-demo). Any ideas?

Thank you!

Hi Mich :

When you say complete "deinstall" do you mean the one logging as root and forcing unninstall of everything ?

If not, try that, reboot and install again... I think should solve it!

Thanks handful for the prompt response. I deinstalled via application manager before, now I did dpkg -P canola2, reboot, apt-get install canola2, reboot. Unfortunately, the problem stays the same.

hi Mich:

I think you need to do the full unninstall , (using apt-get -f remove canola2 ) and also the same command for the dependencies (there's at least 2 threads here teaching the commands)

And then, you can do a apt-get install canola2 that will for sure work!
