Hello,

i used my N9 as a Hotspot because my Wifi Connection here is very slow. I connected with my Lptop to the Hotspot and everything was fine. Now 2 hours later i turned off the hotspot an both my n9 and my laptop can"t connect to the wifi in my flat anymore. First i thought that it"s a wifi problem. but now i turned on my netbook and it connects without any problem to this wifi.

Any ideas?

Thank you very much

Not sure what OS you are using but you should have the option to "forget network", this may be called something else? If you can delete the laptops remembered connection for your n9 and re-scan, you should have be able to connect again.

I've face this problem with my n9 before: After closing the wifi hotspot, it sometimes isn't able to connect to my home wifi even though it can detect that it exists.

There's two ways I know that I can fix this:
1. Reboot the n9: Yuk! and lose my uptime? No way.
2. Restart the wifi hotspot on the n9 and shut the hotspot: This possibly causes the existing connection to be discarded. After this my n9 quickly connects to my home wifi without issues.

Ok after sleeping my laptop connected back to my wifi... so this problem is solved... but my n9 still doesn't connect to the wifi...

but both of your solutions didn't help... still get the notification "something is wrong with you internet connection"

Occasionly my N9 stops communicating with my WiFi even though it is still showing that it is still connected, solution is to reboot the phone.

In the past my N96 failed to connect to my WiFi while everything else would, I rebooted the phone, took the battery out and eventualy took it to get repaired where it connected happily to the repair shop's WiFi, solution was to reboot my router, I felt a little stupid for not thinking about that. Routers can fallout with a device for no reason, reboot your router and see if that helps.
