So yeah, you all are probably thinking that my brain is leaking or something, but honestly, I don't know where to go for this.

I just want to purchase singles and play them on my tablet.

So syncing with iTunes or Windows Media Player doesn't interest me at all since I'll only be using them on my N800.

Also, I tend to reformat my Windows XP machine about once every 45 days since many applications end their trial period at that time.

Yes, I know that's probably wrong of me to do so.

Anyway, I don't want to lose any purchase stamp or whatever thingy for these singles because of this.

So yeah, where's a good place to get started and are there any sites that offer a good promotion when first signing up with them?

I do have a credit card.

So I don't want any site that uses DRM from the wiki?

I think I remember something here about the N900 not being able to play DRM media or something (and most likely the N800)... I'll try look into it. In any case, I would assume the less restrictions the better, so yes

For buying try the ubuntu music store - you need to have ubuntu 10.04 and it downloads your tunes in the cloud, and you can get download them, drm-free, or play them from the cloud. Prices are 0.99 or 0.45 euros here, mostly.

Otherwise, Mediafire has them all, if you feel like yaaaaaar

I think I still have Ubuntu, not sure since I don't use my computer more than a couple times a month.

And yeah, I know of mediafire, megaupload, rapidshare, filestube, and all of that other nonsense.

Just trying to clean up my act and give back for that which I am grateful for, music that carries me through my days of struggle.

I still don't want to pay too much though. *lol*

Thank you though brother Ernesto.

So iTunes is okay even though I don't own any Apple products?

look for iTunes Plus tracks. those have no DRM. Regular iTunes tracks, tv shows and movies all have FairPlay DRM (only works on iOS/Mac/XP+).

If you're in the US, amazon and walmart both sell mp3s sans DRM.

Yeah, I'm just going to go with Amazon for now.

Seems easy enough.

I didn't know Walmart also sold mp3s as well. I'll check into that also.

Thanks!
