i have used the etymotic er4p for 10 years now. they are more sensitive and ge tthe most out out portable devices with low output. also the original and arguably the best sounding, that all others were copies of

a friend has sony mdr-ex300's (i think thats the name) but they have a 13mm driver but i'm not too sure bout the hole that sends the sound to ya ears, seems a lil small (bose ones were pretty, does this hole size matter?

Very very bad experience with them. Actually last comment i made was just about them.
Got two of them, but both broke (thankfully got refund) and while i like good amount of quality bass(hint my Denons) the turbines had painful highs and they where first headphones for me that did not fit to my ears that great, one reason was the weight. Though they come with very good 6 different tips, even if there was not one perfect for me and there is still quite big of a fan base around them.
They need at least ~70hrs of burn to smoothen them.

In head-fi those special edition turbines with better wires and insides are ranked very high, but those different editions where at least last year quite expensive at around 150-250 euros.

I use V-moda vibe and have found them, overall, to be the best match for my ears and the N900 output. These are available on eBay as well as vmoda.com, amazon.com .


I use the Comply Foam TX-400 tips with them.

This is is a "well worth it" upgrade over the stock silicone tips because of the wax guard. The first v-moda vibes I had degraded over time because of ear wax build up. I've not had any trouble with degradation of the sound since using the Comply TX-400 tips.

My wife uses v-moda remix with her Nokia 5230 Nuron and likes them.

i use the headphones that came with it, and i love them, i'd tried a few others (cheapys mainly, i dont earn enough to blow £50+ on headphones) but they just dont match up to the standard ones. i put them through the washing machine last week, they still work fine!

Maybe I ought to try that with my earwaxed v-modas!

Amazing Bass and clarity but a bit poorer on mid-high tones. also seals your ears quite well.
I actually bought them cheaper from eBay then amazon.

i'm gonna have to find a way to test em all as they all sound awesome,
denon stuff is just legendary but i like the look of the vibes too, i am using the stock ones atm but they fall out easily presume tip material or my odd shaped ears

It's almost impossible to remove them from your ear by pulling, because of their unique silicone tips. Sound quality is also awesome, compared to another In Ear Headphones I have tried =)
