I recently changed the AGPS to supl.google.com as in the associated thread

http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php...highlight=agps

and everything was working fine. The GPS would connect in seconds. The phone has since been dropped at least once and now gpsjinni shows no satellites found. The GPS icon flashes but that's it.

Is there a command to see if the GPS hardware is working or faulty?

Google no longer works as a supl server, so use supl.nokia.com. But for that to work you need cssu-testing to sort out certificate issues.

Gps-jinni should however eventually find sats and get a fix if left long enough, even without agps. So try that and no luck probably means damage.

There is also the location-test program mentioned in the agps thread.

Another alternative without installing the cssu-testing patch is to use supl.vodafone.com

That seems to improve lock times since google and nokia's no longer work without patching
