BTW: if you have a keyboard attached: F8 gives you the menu. Also, you can specify full screen mode in the command line by adding "Fullscreen=1".

However, when I go full screen with VNC I have to power down the 770 to exit. Also, in fullscreen mode the menu freezes or becomes inaccessible. Has anyone figured out how to exit gracefully from full screen mode?

Write a script and just run that, or if any of the shells support alias and .profile file you could just stick the alias in there.
