I tried by myself something like that. I added sudo sh inside the " ". But it didn't work :P

basketmania crashes before opening.
i installed the deb file
then typed in the terminal

I have preenv hd installed and all normal and hd games are working fine except this one.

can anyone help me here plz?

It's quite unfortunate that even after Divan's announce about developing WebOS Games Manager in the open and that he would accept patches no one has contributed.

There is plenty of room to improve both preenv and WebOS Games Manager and they are the most capable projects to allow new games to be played in the N900. Both Javispedro and Divan seem interested in provide help if someone volunteer to take maintenance of the projects.

As a starting point, it would be great to merge jflat's patches for keyboard mapping with upstream preenv so WGM could use official libs from preenv instead of packaging them on it's own.

Second, there is a big amount of ini files in WGM thread provided by users that might worth to add to WGM.

And third, add support for HD games maybe by merging changes to preenv or by using different libraries for those games.

Anyone volunteer?

Unforunately, I don't think I'm able to do this... There's a lot of potential indeed. It'd be great to merge this, but my worst programming problem is that I can barely understand other's programs. And, what's more, I won't be able to do something more than I do now 'til 21st May. If there's a way to help the volunteer I'd like to help. Maybe in the future I'll be able to do something more..

If you're picking up on preenv, you'll likely need real hardware, both phone and tablet would be nice. There are some quirky things happening with a few games that I can only assume are related to the dodgy pirated copies floating around out there, and more testing needs done with legitimate releases.

I would've liked to create a qt based version to run on both fremantle and harmattan, but the softfp/hardfp seemed like a showstopper to me. There's something going on with Firefox on harmattan with regards to softfp, but I'm not sure what they're doing. I looked for ways to distinguish between HD titles, but couldn't find any, so it seems per-game settings are needed. Sandboxing also seems like it would be needed, maybe something like fakechroot would solve that, and possibly leverage those techniques to get softfp binaries running in harmattan at the same time.

I think there is some softfp-to-hardfp wrapper working in Harmattan. At least Adobe Flash seems to use that.
