@kinggo: .cue files are "Text file that defines the way tracks are organized on compact discs and super-audio CDs (SACDs)".

Can you please elaborate how this makes sense on the n900?

@toxaris: hopefully it will be available in the next release

@TMarki: cue file can reference .mp3-s and .wav-s, too, usually in cases when they are one long recording of a live event or mix. For example:

Code:
TITLE "Live in Berlin, 1998"
PERFORMER "Faithless"
FILE "faithless - live in berlin.mp3" MP3
  TRACK 01 AUDIO
    TITLE "Reverence"
    PERFORMER "Faithless"
    INDEX 01 00:00:00
  TRACK 02 AUDIO
    TITLE "She's My Baby"
    PERFORMER "Faithless"
    INDEX 01 06:42:00
  TRACK 03 AUDIO
TITLE "Take The Long Way Home"
    PERFORMER "Faithless"
    INDEX 01 10:54:00
  TRACK 04 AUDIO
    TITLE "Insomnia"
    PERFORMER "Faithless"
    INDEX 01 17:04:00
  TRACK 05 AUDIO
    TITLE "Bring The Family Back"
    PERFORMER "Faithless"
    INDEX 01 25:44:00
  TRACK 06 AUDIO
    TITLE "Salva Mea"
    PERFORMER "Faithless"
    INDEX 01 30:50:00
  TRACK 07 AUDIO
    TITLE "Dirty Old Man"
    PERFORMER "Faithless"
    INDEX 01 38:24:00
  TRACK 08 AUDIO
    TITLE "God Is A DJ"
    PERFORMER "Faithless"
    INDEX 01 42:35:00

If you load .cue file then you can skip tracks and view info for each track and not just a name of whole track. And that is something what seems to be a problem in linux in generally. And gapless plaback. Apart from amarok, which I don't use because I prefer GNOME I don' know any other player that supports .cue. And I think I tried them all.

Thank you attila77 and kinggo for the information.

I will definitely look into this sometime in the future, but there's lot of other plans too, so don't expect it in the next release.

Also, gapless mode should already be working, if it's not "gapless enough" then you can blame the Qt and Phonon developers.

Hi,
I have installed without problems, but it seems app is not recognizing aac+. Which formats are integrated?
Simple and fast playlist musicplayer with organizing abilities of added songs is a must for small parties. Don't forget gapless playing, or better "autodj" capability.
thanks,

Hello mkkyah,

the backend supports many formats, but for this release only .ogg, .wav and .mp3 are enabled. I'll do more research on this, but I'm 99% sure that aac should be supported out of the box, keep an eye out for the next release where a lot more will be supported.

For gapless mode see #14. Organizing capabilities are on the way.

Looks interesting! I will try it tonight.
Does it display Album Art too?

I've been looking for a music player that allows you to add Album Art manually but couldn't find one (i could do it on Symbian's default player)

@yukop4: hopefully there will be something, a very good programmer is helping me

@erniadeldesktop: thanks!

@troff76: not yet, and it's not a priority, but if more people request it then I'll consider implementing something for this.
